We are one of the most competitively priced newspapers in the area for advertising. We offer a range of options to suit your needs, so whatever kind of duration, size, design or place in the paper you'd like, we always have something to offer for you.
Large adverts
These are your full, half and quarter pages. Great for getting a boost in customers and having your name put out there. These work well with some editorial besides them to help expand your reach.
*Note that not all customers are eligible for complementary editorial.
Smaller adverts
If quarter pages are a little above budget for you, we do offer small sizes such as a beermat size and credit card size. These are much more flexible and work great for local events or feature pages.
Classifieds
Regular advertising in our Classifieds section is also very effective as the adverts are small to keep the costs down but regular so if people are in need of your services, they know where to find you.
Notices
Family notices, public notices and job adverts are usually one off placements and are dependant on how much information you want to put out there so these are also very flexible.
How long will my advert run for?
You might just want to run an ad for a single week. Or maybe you want to book a run of six months to fit in with a wider ad campaign. Perhaps you want to book a limited run, or book every third week, or once a month. We can work around whatever suits you, your business and your customers.
We'll never attempt to lock you in to a lengthy contract. You can cancel with us at any time, take a break or pick back up at a later date. There is no commitment. We offer a service that best suits you.
Do you design the advert for me?
When it comes to designing your advert, there are various ways it can work:
You have existing artwork to supply us.
You want an advert designing to fit in to an existing brand.
You have a good idea of what you want, and want us to use this as a starting point.
You're starting from scratch, or you don't know what's best, and want to leave it to us.
Our design team has years of experience designing adverts and brands for a wide variety of clients. We know what works and what doesn't, and we're able to create a design on your behalf that will appeal to your customers. We can offer as little or as much input as you need.
How much will my advert cost?
Prices vary depending on your choice of page, position and duration of your run. You can see some examples in the Media Pack below.
It's best to call us and we'll have a chat about what will work best for you and your business. Our aim isn't to get you to spend as much money as possible. We'd rather find the sweet spot between cost and effectiveness, so that you get the best value for money and our readers get worthwhile, quality content.
Is it too late to put an advert in?
Its best to call us a week in advance so we can get the pricing and design work right for you and sorted in plenty of time. However if you're short on time, please get in touch with us no later than Monday afternoon as we go to print on Tuesdays.
