On Monday June 4 we were kindly invited to the street party organised by the residents of Brook Row in Stocksbridge to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The Row was adorned with bunting flags to match any other. The afternoon commenced with old fashioned races and games enjoyed by everyone. We dined on traditional fish and chips from the local chippy, followed by home made jubilee themed cakes and buns provided by everyone who attended. The evening progressed with great live entertainment from local musician Dave Friskney. We would just like to say a big thank you to all residents for making us feel really welcome and for organising such a wonderful day attended by over 100 people. What a great day that was!
