Dear Editor, I was interested to read Alistair Nicoll's letter RE the recent elections. He is obviously keen to exercise his democratic right to vote (unlike the majority of Sheffield people) so I am sure that any political party in the Stocksbridge area would love to hear from him. Unfortunately there are very few active activists who can tackle the hills in this large constituency and, as financial support is much reduced, the cost of posting mail to everyone is also prohibitive. Political parties have to prioritise so will not reach everyone. He must also understand that not everyone likes to display posters in their windows, even committee loyalists, but, if he would like one at the next election he has only to pick up the phone!
