Building proposals
Posted 11 May, 2012

Dear Editor,
After reading the report of the car crash outside Beachcombers I had a look at the plans online.
The five houses proposed will be on a tiny piece of land next to the works railway and have a magnificent view down the throat of the Billet Mill; the noise from the works will be continuous and deafening. My worry is who will be willing to put up with those conditions? There are a dozen better situated houses and flats on offer on Manchester Road at the moment. I for one don't want to see houses being built in Stocksbridge which are only fit for 'problem families' deported from London. We have already seen it happening with Stoke, we don't want Deepcar and Stocksbridge to be next.
Yours sincerely,
Chris Wright
