I read the letter about 'disgusting behaviour' and I feel your comments are bang out of order! My daughter is one of those kids that sometimes hangs about on the Stubbin with her friends - I can assure you she doesn't drink, nor get up to some of the filthy activities you have claimed, and as a matter of fact I am very proud of her!! Maybe you should look at your own manners before judging these kids, afterall we are supposed to me their mentors! If there was more for kids to do in this area thery wouldnt 'congregate' as you put it. I have been in some area where gangs are rife, and you cant walk past a bunch of teenagers without getting hailed abuse at - I'm not saying all kids are angels these days, some do need to learn a few manners and respect, but kids in this area are a damn site lot more behaved than other areas. My daughter was in the park the other week at 8.30 in the evening, and the police went in and told them to leave, and threatened one of them with court action just because they didnt have lights on their bike! It's an absolute disgrace! Where are kids meant to go, and what are they meant to do?? This matter will only escalate if nothing is done!
